VUZ Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which VUZ collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the www.vuz.com website and the VUZ application ("Site/App"). It applies to the Site/App and to all products and services offered by VUZ.

The Site/App is provided and licensed by VUZ. By using or otherwise accessing the Site/App, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy.

1. VUZ and 360VUZ Trademarks

VUZ and 360VUZ are registered trade marks of the Company. Any usage, interaction, or transaction in relation to any of these names, or a combination of these names, shall be considered an explicit and unconditional acceptance of these terms.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our Site/App, register on the Site/App, subscribe to a channel, and in connection with other activities, services, features, or resources we make available.

The types of personal information collected may include your full name, email address, profile picture, credit or debit card information, and any other information necessary for us to provide the basic services of the Site/App, or that you otherwise authorise us to obtain (for example, from a linked account).

Users may visit our Site/App anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that this may prevent them from engaging in certain Site/App related activities.

2.2 Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site/App. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer, and technical information about the User's means of connection to our Site/App, such as the operating system, the internet service provider utilised, and other similar information.

We also receive and store certain usage-related information whenever you interact with the Site/App. For example, VUZ may automatically receive and record information regarding your demographics and your viewing activity.

2.3 Web browser cookies

Our Site/App may use "cookies" to enhance the User experience. A User's web browser places cookies on their device for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert them when cookies are being sent. If they do so, some parts of the Site/App may not function properly.

3. How We Use Collected Information

VUZ may collect and use Users' personal information for the following purposes:

To improve customer service. Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
To personalise the User experience. We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site/App.
To personalise the experience based on demographics and interests. For example, we may send push notifications when new 360º videos matching your interests are published.
To improve our Site/App. We may use the feedback you provide to improve our products and services.
To process payments. We may use the information Users provide about themselves when purchasing a subscription only in order to provide that service. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service.
To operate promotions, contests, surveys, or other Site/App features, and to send Users information they have agreed to receive about topics we think will be of interest to them.
To send periodic emails. We may use your email address to send you information and updates relating to your account and your subscriptions. It may also be used to respond to your inquiries, questions, and other requests. If you opt in to our mailing list, you will receive emails that may include company news, updates, and related product or service information. You may unsubscribe at any time using the instructions at the bottom of each email, or by contacting us via the Site/App.
To protect VUZ, our Users, and others, including to analyse, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, unauthorised use of the Service, and security incidents.

VUZ also uses the information described in this Privacy Policy internally, to analyse, develop, and improve its products and services.

4. How We Protect Your Information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our Site/App.

Sensitive and private data exchanged between the Site/App and its Users happens over an SSL secured communication channel, and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.

All credit and debit card details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented, or leased to any third parties.

5. Sharing Your Personal Information

Personal information about our Users is an integral part of our business. We do not sell, trade, or rent Users' personal identification information to others. We share your personal information only as described below.

Aggregated information. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and Users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.
Service providers. We may use third-party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site/App, or to administer activities on our behalf, such as processing payments, sending newsletters, or conducting surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes.
Protection of VUZ and others. We may release personal information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with the law; to enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of VUZ, our employees, our Users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
With your consent. Except as set out above, you will be notified when your personal information may be shared with third parties and will be able to prevent the sharing of that information.

6. Advertising by Third Parties

Some of the advertisements you see on the Site/App are selected and delivered by third parties, such as ad networks, advertising agencies, advertisers, and audience segment providers. These third parties may collect information about you and your online activities, either on the Site/App or on other websites, through cookies, web beacons, and other technologies, in an effort to understand your interests and deliver advertisements that are tailored to those interests.

Please remember that we do not have access to, or control over, the information these third parties may collect. The information practices of these third parties are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Applications and Websites

The Site/App may permit you to link to other applications or websites. Such third-party applications and websites are not under VUZ's control, and such links do not constitute an endorsement by VUZ of those applications or websites or of the services offered through them. The privacy and security practices of such third-party applications and websites are not covered by this Privacy Policy, and VUZ is not responsible for their privacy or security practices or for their content.

8. What Personal Information You Can Access

VUZ allows you to access the following information about you for the purpose of viewing and, in certain situations, updating that information. This list may change in the event that the Site/App changes:

Account and user profile information
User email address, if applicable

9. How to Request Deletion of Your User Data

If you want to delete your VUZ account, there are two options.

1) If you signed up directly using your personal email address:

Go to https://vuz.com/delete-data.php
Enter the email and password used on the VUZ app
Click "Submit" in order to delete all of your user data

2) If you signed up through your Facebook account:

Go to your Facebook profile's Apps and Websites settings tab: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
Find the VUZ App
Remove the app
Click the "Removed" sub-tab and click on the app
Click "Send Request" to request deletion of your data
Click on the status link displayed in order to see the status of your data deletion request

Please note that information may persist for a limited period of time in backup copies, and that we may retain certain information where we are required or permitted to do so by law, including for the purposes of fraud prevention, tax, accounting, and the resolution of payment disputes.

10. Can Minors Use the Application?

Our Site/App and the services available through VUZ are not intended for anyone under the age of 13. VUZ does not knowingly or specifically collect information about anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that we hold information relating to a person under that age, we will delete that information and close the account concerned. If you believe that a person under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@vuz.com so that we can take action.

If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you may use VUZ to view content only, with the consent of your parent or legal guardian. We believe that anyone under 18 should obtain that consent before giving out any personal information, and we encourage parents and guardians to participate in their child's online experience.

Minors under the age of 18 are prohibited from registering as a User of the website for the purpose of transacting, and are not allowed to transact through the website or the VUZ App. We do not knowingly collect payment card information from anyone under the age of 18, and where we become aware that a payment has been made by a person under that age, we may cancel the subscription concerned and delete the associated payment information.

11. Conditions of Use

If you decide to use or otherwise access the Site/App, your use and access, and any possible dispute over privacy, are subject to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms of Use, including their limitations on damages and their provisions on the resolution of disputes and the application of the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

VUZ has the discretion to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make changes in the way we use personal information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on our Site/App or by sending you an email.

We encourage Users to check this page frequently for any changes, in order to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and to become aware of modifications.

13. Your Acceptance of These Terms

By using this Site/App, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Site/App. Your continued use of the Site/App following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be deemed to be your acceptance of those changes.
